Polo is the fastest team sport in the world and has no parallel in adrenaline and excitement. It is known as the Sport of Kings for good reasons. Combining the speed and challenge of the game with a passion for horses, it is no wonder why people of all ages are drawn to this sport.
With its modern facilities, 30 polo ponies and unbeateable location next to Lisbon, the Portugal Polo Club is making polo more accessible. The club caters to all levels with weekly private and group beginner lessons to high level club chukkas and tournaments.

Facilities
After ten years of planning and investments, we are proud to inaugurate a fully-equipped polo club
Portugal Polo Club facilities include:
- Laser levelled full size polo pitch (being completed in 2019)
- Stick & ball field
- A 70x50m arena
- Polo Livery Service
- Clubhouse (being completed in 2020)
- Petting zoo, including domesticated sheep, cows and chickens
- Members areas and club dinner facilities
- Several on-site apartments
The Polo Field
Some of the best pitch designers were consulted prior to launching the construction of the polo field, which began in 2011 and will be completed in 2018.
We take great pride in our polo field as we know how amazing it is to play on it. The grass is cut at least once a week to ensure that it is kept at the perfect length, we regularly fertilize it and we have it verti-drained to stop it becoming too compacted.
The Arena
One of the most important features of a polo club is to have the best facilities to condition horses. Members can use our arena track (240 metres) to exercise their horses.
