Hosting a corporate day at the Portugal Polo Club is an exclusive and memorable experience for team members or clients.
The Portugal Polo Club offers multiple corporate packages to suit each and every needs. The all time favourite package starts with an introduction to the game by our experienced polo coach, accompanied by welcome drinks. Groups are then formed and given hand mallets to practice the polo swing before mounting on the polo ponies for an instructional lesson, which will finish with a short chukka. The team who score the most goals wins! The day ends with a traditional argentine asado (barbecue).
Introduction to Polo
The horses are the true athletes of polo and a good understanding of our equine partners is essential. Our coach will also demonstrate the polo swing so participants get an idea of what they will soon be doing!
Swing Practice
Hand mallets and wooden horses are perfect to practice the polo swing without having to worry about the horse. The coach will ensure that participants have the right posture, grip and polo swing.
Rules and Tactics
Before mounting horses, rules and tactics are practiced using hand mallets during a match.
Playing Polo
This is when it all comes together! Participants will mount their polo ponies and will be shown how to walk, stop and turn. Mallets will then be handed out and after some swinging practice, the instructional lesson will finish with a short chukka!
